Tally

See at a glance whether "your" camera is on air or on preview – also in the menu bar.

Tally shows red when a particular camera is on air and green when it’s on preview. The colours come from your Companion buttons.

Turn it on

  1. Settings → Tally → Enable tally.
  2. Open Tally settings and choose:
    • the button for program / direct cut (red tally)
    • the button for preview (green tally)
    • a Camera name (display), e.g. “CAM 1”

The two tally button labels are currently shown in German in every app language: “Programm / Direct Cut (rotes Tally)” and “Preview (grünes Tally)”.

Tally needs the Satellite subscriptions in Companion 4.3 or newer – see Connect Companion.

Tally in the menu bar

Window → Show Tally in Menu Bar puts a coloured dot in the menu bar: red = on air, green = preview. Click it for a menu with Cut, Fade / Auto and Tally Button – handy when the main window is hidden.

Pushable tally button

With Also works as pushable tally button…, pressing the tally button cuts to this camera. If it’s already live, the app switches to a Fixed source or back to the Last used source.
